Susan Moeller, the director of the International Center for Media & the
Public Agenda, is an associate professor at the College of Journalism and the
School of Public Policy at the University of Maryland and the co-director of
the Salzburg Academy on Media & Global Change, in Austria. A graduate of
Yale and Harvard, Moeller has authored a number of books and studies on media
coverage of international affairs, including Compassion Fatigue: How the Media
Sell Disease, Famine War and Death.
