Dr. Long is the Risk Analysis and Extramural Liaison assigned to the FDA JIFSAN Liaison Staff of the FDA's Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition. He was the founding chair of the U.S. Federal Interagency Risk Assessment Consortium (RAC), comprised of the federal agencies and organizations that have food safety risk analysis responsibilities. Dr. Long co-administers the JIFSAN Professional Development Training Program in Food Safety Risk Analysis and provides guidance to the Food Safety Risk Analysis Clearinghouse, a web-based resource for risk analysts.
