Eytan Gilboa is Professor and Head of International Communication, Director
of the PhD Program in Communication and Senior Research Associate at the Begin-Sadat
Center for Strategic Studies, all at Bar-Ilan University in Israel. He is also
a Visiting Professor of Public Diplomacy and Editor of the USC Public Diplomacy
Annual at the Annenberg School for Communication, University of Southern
California. He is one of the leading theorists in the world in international
communication, and has written on issues such as media and international conflict,
media diplomacy, public diplomacy, and on mass communication aspects of policymaking
in defense and foreign affairs, terrosism, war and international negotiation.
He has published several books and numerous articles and has won several significant
international awards including the 2001 the Best Article Award of the
International Communication Association.
